Chan Lieu

Chan Lieu is a seasoned professional in safety programs and policy, currently serving as the Sr. Manager of Safety Programs & Standards at Aurora since January 2021. Prior experience includes a role in System Safety at Uber's Advanced Technologies Group from July 2019 to January 2021, where contributions focused on the development of safe self-driving transportation. At Venable LLP, Chan held dual roles as Senior Policy Advisor and Senior Legislative Advisor from March 2014 to July 2019, navigating corporate law and government affairs. Prior to that, as Director of Governmental Affairs at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) from April 2010 to March 2014, responsibilities included liaising with Congress to promote highway safety initiatives.
