Chris Urmson

Co-Founder & CEO at Aurora

Chris Urmson is the co-founder and CEO of Aurora, a self-driving technology company. Prior to Aurora, Chris was the CTO of Self-Driving Cars at Google. Chris has also held positions as the Director of Technology at Tartan Racing, a Robotics Research Scientist at SAIC, and an Assistant Research Professor at Carnegie Mellon University. Chris received their Ph.D. in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University in 2004.

Chris Urmson received their Doctor of Philosophy in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University. Chris also holds a BEng in Computer Engineering from the University of Manitoba.
