James Michalenko

James Michalenko is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in quality management, operations, and manufacturing processes. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Engineer and Technical Lead Manager at Aurora since January 2021, James previously held roles at Uber, where responsibilities spanned from Senior Quality Engineer to Global Supply Chain Manager. Earlier positions include Operations Manager at Thogus Products Company, Applications Scientist at The Lubrizol Corporation, and Engineering Manager at the same company. James’ expertise encompasses custom injection molding, rapid prototyping, and advanced manufacturing techniques, underpinned by a solid educational foundation in Plastics Engineering Technology from Penn State Erie. James is also an OIF III Veteran, having served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps.
