James Tasker

James Tasker is a Lidar Software Engineer at Aurora since September 2019, with prior experience as an Embedded System Engineer at Blackmore Sensors and Analytics, Inc. from October 2018 to September 2019, where development for the Blackmore Defense HRS 3D system was a key focus. Previously, James held the position of Electrical & Software Engineering Manager at Dynojet Research from July 2014 to October 2018, overseeing the architecture and development of hardware and software systems. James' career also includes roles as a Firmware Engineer, with expertise in embedded system design, development, and analysis, and as an Electrical Engineer, E.I.T. at Morrison-Maierle, Inc., contributing to projects from conception to construction. An Engineering Intern position at Townsend Design provided early experience in developing testing procedures for composite materials. James Tasker holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from UC Irvine.
