Matthew Webb

Matthew Webb is a highly experienced software engineer and technical director with a robust background in the animation industry. Currently, Matthew serves as a Staff Software Engineer at Aurora since March 2021. Prior to this role, Matthew spent nearly two decades at Pixar Animation Studios, where significant contributions included serving as Set Extension Supervisor and Volumetric Clouds Supervisor, leading the development of a new volumetric cloud pipeline for "The Good Dinosaur," and efficiently applying this technology to "Finding Dory." Matthew's expertise also encompasses roles as Matte Paint Lead and Technical Director, with early work on notable films such as “Finding Nemo” and “The Incredibles.” Matthew holds an M.A. in Computer Science from Princeton University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, graduating cum laude.
