Steven Kanik

Steven Kanik is a Senior Functional Safety Engineer at Aurora, where they have been contributing since 2024. Previously, they held roles as a Staff Functional Safety Engineer and Manager of Functional Safety at Rivian from 2020 to 2021, and worked as a Functional Safety Engineer at Ford Motor Company from 2016 to 2019. Earlier in their career, Steven was a Project Engineer at Shell from 2013 to 2016. They are currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering + Design, both at The University of Texas at Austin and University of Michigan, respectively. Additionally, Steven is earning a minor in Business Administration at The University of Texas at Austin.
