Yi Yang

Yi Yang is a Staff Software Engineer at Aurora, specializing in Sensor and Map Fusion since 2025. Previously, they served as a Senior Software Engineer and later as a Senior Applied Scientist II at Cruise, focusing on trajectory generation, optimization, and selection problems. Their earlier experience includes roles at Zoox and BYTON as an Autonomous Driving Software Engineer, where they worked on motion planning and control systems. Yi holds multiple degrees from the University of Michigan, including a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering and Industrial and Operations Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering. They also contributed to student leadership as Vice Director of the Career Department in the Student Union at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
