Benjamin Roth

Benjamin Roth has had an extensive career in the financial industry. In 2001, they became a Partner and Proprietary Trader at Optiver, where they traded a variety of equity strategies across global markets until 2007. Benjamin then joined Eclipse Options as a Partner and Proprietary Trader, managing a team of traders and participating in strategic planning until 2011. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Portfolio Manager at Tibra Capital, focusing on global investments in equity volatility and correlation, capital structure arbitrage, and event-driven strategies. Benjamin then served as a Portfolio Manager at FNY Capital Management from 2015 to 2016. Benjamin later joined Hudson Bay Capital Management LP as a Volatility Arbitrage trader from 2016 to 2017. Most recently, they co-founded Auros in 2019, a High Frequency Trading firm and Market Maker specializing in cryptocurrency markets. As the Co-founder and CIO, they oversee a team of 60+ traders, engineers, and support staff, providing 24/7 liquidity to 30+ cryptocurrency exchange venues.

Benjamin Roth completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) First Class Honours degree in Accounting and Finance from UNSW in 2001.
