Andrew Harris

Andrew Harris is a Senior R&D Metallurgist at Aurubis since April 2022, leading the R&D team focused on developing and upscaling a patented Li-ion Battery Recycling process, managing lab and pilot plant operations, and presenting findings to key stakeholders. Previous experience includes roles at BHP as a Supervisor of Control Operations and a Plant Metallurgist, overseeing safe and productive operations within various processing plants at Olympic Dam. Additionally, Andrew has worked as a Process Engineer at SIMEC Mining, a Laboratory Technician at Bureau Veritas, and has a PhD in Engineering (Minerals and Materials) from the University of South Australia, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Finance from the University of Sydney.
