David Aitchison

David Aitchison is a seasoned executive in the fitness and lifestyle industry, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at BFT since July 2022 and as a Board Member with AUSactive since November 2023, where responsibilities include strategic leadership and establishing the organization's vision. Aitchison has held significant roles including General Manager for Club Operations at Fitness and Lifestyle Group and General Manager at Fitness First Australia, aiming to position Fitness First as the leading brand in the market. Previous experience includes success as National Business Development Manager at Goodlife Health Clubs, where oversight of 50 clubs led to substantial EBITDA growth, and as Co-Founder of Fenix Fitness, which focused on brand control and member experience. Aitchison's career commenced with the ownership of Genesis Fitness Club in Karingal, which achieved significant success shortly after opening. Aitchison holds degrees in Applied Science from RMIT University and a Graduate Diploma of Education from Victoria University.
