Daniel Spence possesses extensive experience in member services within the cycling sector, having served as Member Services Manager at AusCycling since June 2015. In this role, Daniel leads member engagement and services, focusing on delivering an exceptional member experience and fostering membership growth. Previous positions at AusCycling include Member Enquiries Lead and Member Services Coordinator, where responsibilities included enhancing participation in cycling disciplines and providing administrative support. Additionally, Daniel briefly worked as Workforce Deployment Lead for Wollongong 2022 Ltd, managing volunteer marshals for events. Prior experience includes roles as a Sales Assistant at Rivers Australia and a Host at Delaware North, complemented by a Diploma and Certificate in Event Management from TAFE NSW and a high school diploma from John Therry Catholic High School.

AusCycling represents 60,000 members across BMX Racing, BMX Freestyle, Cyclo-cross, Cycling Esports, Mountain Bike, Para-cycling, Road, Track and Lifestyle (recreational and commuter) riding throughout Australia. We formed on 1 November 2020 from a merger of Cycling Australia, Mountain Bike Australia, BMX Australia and a host of state organisations. Our vision is to make Australia a nation of bike riders, to advocate for our riders’ safety, build strong club communities and to make all forms of cycling accessible to everyone be it on a track, off a jump, in the great Australian bush or on the road.
