Malcolm Smith

Malcolm Smith currently serves as the Director of Strategic Projects at Ausenco since August 2022. Previously, Malcolm held the position of Vice-President of Environmental Planning and Management at Hemmera from 2001 to August 2022, overseeing a business unit focused on environmental permitting and impact assessments across various sectors including energy and infrastructure. Earlier roles include Senior Program Coordinator at both the Fraser Basin Council and the Fraser Basin Management Program, as well as experience as an Environmental Policy Analyst at Environment Canada and an Integrated Pest Management Specialist for the City of Vancouver. Malcolm holds an MSc in Applied Ecology from Simon Fraser University and a BSc in Biology from the University of Victoria.
