Matthew Morrison

Matthew Morrison is an experienced engineering professional with a strong focus on asset management and reliability within the mining sector. Matthew has held key positions in various companies, including Thiess, where roles as Specialist - Asset Engineering and Specialist - Asset Reliability were undertaken. Currently serving as Lead Asset Optimisation Consultant at Ausenco since February 2024, Matthew drives improvements in asset management for mining equipment and plants. Previous experience includes maintenance engineering leadership roles at Rio Tinto Coal Australia and South32, as well as a foundation in mechanical engineering with early roles at Anglo Coal Australia and Sedgman Limited. Matthew holds a Master of Engineering in Engineering Management from the University of South Australia and a Bachelor of Engineering (First-Class Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Queensland, complemented by a Certificate IV in Project Management.
