David Hardemon has a strong background in information technology and cybersecurity. David Hardemon began their education at American Military University from 2009 to 2011, where they studied Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies but did not obtain a degree. David then attended Saint Leo University, earning an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Business Administration with a focus on Technology Management from 2013 to 2016. Following this, David completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Technology Management from Saint Leo University in 2017.

In addition to their formal education, David Hardemon has obtained several certifications. David received a CompTIA Security+ CE certification in September 2017. David also achieved certifications in Windows Operating Systems Security from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in October 2019 and in Linux Operating System Security from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency in December 2020. David also holds a Navy Qualified Validator, Level I certification from NAVWAR, earned in December 2020. Additionally, they have certifications as a Life-Skills Group Facilitator from the Arise Foundation Life Skills and Training in October 2020, and as a Sports Performance Coaching Level I Certificate from the Wounded Warrior Project in December 2021.
