Benjamin Bird has extensive experience in engineering management, particularly within the electrical and power sectors. Currently serving as Engineering Manager for Major Substations and Operational Engineering South at Ausgrid since April 2010, Benjamin has held various roles including Senior Engineer and Transformation Initiative Lead, focusing on large-scale project management in asset replacements and risk mitigation within Sydney City. Previous experience includes managing electrical installations and operations at Gujarat NRE Coking Coal Limited and serving as a Graduate Project Electrical Engineer at TransGrid. Benjamin began their career as an Apprentice Electrician and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) with a major in Power from the University of Wollongong.
