Ed Waters

Ed Waters currently serves as Group Treasurer and Head of Insurance and Debt Investor Relations at Ausgrid since August 2019, overseeing complex debt, derivative, and insurance portfolios while advising the executive team on strategic decisions. Prior to this role, Ed held the position of Executive Director in Debt Capital Markets at ANZ from 2006 to 2019, where Ed was a trusted advisor to top-tier organizations, specializing in financing solutions and debt issuance, contributing to the firm’s recognition as the #1 A$ Primary Bond House by KangaNews for nine consecutive years. Ed’s earlier career includes various roles at Westpac Institutional Bank from 1998 to 2006, focusing on capital markets transactions and marketing government bonds to Japanese clients. Ed holds a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese Language and Literature and a Bachelor's degree in Economics, both from Macquarie University.
