Paul Murphy is an accomplished professional in the mining industry with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Chair of the AusIMM Melbourne Branch since January 2024, Paul fosters a vibrant community of mining professionals focused on networking and professional development. As Manager of South America at Mining Plus since 2011, Paul manages local staff and oversees various projects across Latin America, while previously establishing the company's first office in Peru. Paul also holds the position of General Manager at Tierra Grande SAC, focusing on high-grade, near-term production projects. With a strong background in geotechnical and hydrogeological engineering, Paul has held roles at Rio Tinto and is a graduate of RMIT University with a degree in Geological Engineering.
