Max Haase

Max Haase is a Ship Hydrodynamicist at Austal since January 2018, bringing extensive expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) from a prior role as a CFD consultant at AMC Search Ltd from February 2013 to December 2017. Max's experience also includes serving as a Lecturer at the Australian Maritime College from February 2012 to December 2017 and as a Research Engineer at the University of Rostock from November 2008 to June 2011, where focus was on developing autonomously acting rescue craft for persons in distress at sea. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Maritime Engineering from the University of Tasmania (2011-2015) and a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from Universität Rostock (2002-2008), supplemented by study at UC San Diego in 2005-2006.
