Mitchell Barnett

Mitchell Barnett is a highly experienced Project Manager at Austal, where responsibilities have included engineering and contract change management within the Cape Class Patrol Boat program since May 2016. Prior to this role, Mitchell served as Assistant Project Manager and worked as a Naval Architect at Southerly Designs, contributing to the development of significant vessels, including the Offshore 40 Gen3 Crewboat and the largest new cray fishing boat in over a decade. Earlier experience includes positions as a Junior Naval Architect at Incat Crowther and Aquamarine, where significant achievements included thesis topic supervision and conducting stability tests. Additional foundational experience as a Junior Engineer/Draftsman at Ekebol Engineering involved programming automation systems. Mitchell holds a degree in Naval Architecture from the Australian Maritime College and a Graduate Diploma of Global Project Management from Torrens University Australia.
