Umesh Munasinghe is an accomplished ILS Lead at Austal, leveraging extensive experience in Integrated Logistics Support for complex engineering and defense projects since January 2020. Umesh has successfully developed and executed ILS strategies that ensure the sustainment and lifecycle performance of major shipbuilding platforms. Previously, Umesh served as a Maintenance Engineer and ILS Maintenance Analyst, focusing on vessel sustainment, maintenance engineering, and the creation of Maintenance Task Instructions for significant projects such as the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard and the Cape Class Patrol Boat program. Umesh began his career with hands-on experience as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Austal and the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), where foundational skills were developed in commissioning procedures, high voltage maintenance, and power system protection. Umesh holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electrical Power Engineering from Curtin University, along with additional qualifications in business and electrical engineering.
