Jacob Jin has a diverse work experience in the fields of technology commercialization, business development, and research. Jacob is the Founder and CEO of Austin Elements Inc., where they lead the daily operations and oversees the development of a low-carbon Critical Metals Recycling Giga factory. Prior to this, they were also the Founder and CEO of ULTRecovery Corporation, which was later acquired by Select Energy Services Inc. At ULTRecovery Corporation, Jacob supported R&D and commercialization efforts in the field of microbial enhanced oil recovery. Jacob has also worked as a Senior Research Scientist at the University of Utah and as a Petroleum Engineer at BP. Additionally, Jacob gained internship experience at Shell, Blade Energy, and Weatherford, where they worked in consulting and technology services roles.
Jacob Jin earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, completing their studies from 2009 to 2013.
