Michael Matthews

Michael Matthews is the President of Authentic Education, where they provide practical, customized staff development and consulting services to schools and educational organizations, specializing in curriculum design, teaching for understanding, effective assessment, and thoughtful school change. They previously worked as an Educational Consultant (self-employed) from 2017 to 2022 and served as Acting Head of School at Oak Meadow School in 2024. They earned a B.A. in Sociology & Peer Education in Human Relations from Hobart and William Smith Colleges (1996–2000) and an M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell (2007–2008).
