David Bailey has over 20 years of experience in network engineering and information security. David began their career in 1998 as a Network Integrator for the US Air Force, where they performed network engineering duties for the Air Force and other federal agencies in a NOC environment. In 2008, they joined Verizon Business as a Network Engineer, where they were responsible for Tier II troubleshooting, code upgrades, and network monitoring of Cisco and Juniper-based networks. David also developed monitoring solutions for legacy telecommunications equipment and networking scripts to automate NOC functions. In 2014, they joined Verizon as a Cslt-Netwk and Info Sec Cyber Analyst, where they were responsible for use case development, ArcSight SIEM administration, and built NOC integration tools for active monitoring of security events. David also automated open source indicators collection and processing, and created and maintained Standard Operating Procedures and other internal documentation. In 2017, they joined Authentic8 as a Principal Security Engineer.

David Bailey obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Management from American Military University between 2010 and 2015. Prior to that, they earned an A.S. in Electronics Technology and an A.S. in Munitions Systems from the Community College of the Air Force between 1998 and 2002. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM) from GIAC Certifications in December 2017, GIAC Network Forensics Analyst (GNFA) from GIAC Certifications in April 2017, GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) from Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) in January 2017, and GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) from Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) in April 2016.
