Nate Stevens

Manager Oil and Gas Solutions Engineering at Authentix

Nate Stevens has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Beginning in 2001, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Ian Wark Research Institute, where they conducted research and development on contact angle measurements of micron-sized particles. Nate also participated in the Australian Synchrotron Research Program and a research project at the Advanced Photon Source in Chicago.

From 2006 to 2010, Nate worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Particle Engineering Research Center.

In 2011, they became a Senior Forensic Chemist at Integrated Forensic Laboratories, Inc., specializing in qualitative identification and quantitative analysis of unknown substances. Nate operated and maintained various instrument platforms and provided troubleshooting support.

From 2012 to 2016, Nate held multiple roles at Integrated Forensic Laboratories, including Chemistry Section Supervisor and IT Supervisor.

In 2013, Nate joined Integrated Forensic Laboratories, LLC as the Director of Laboratory Operations. Nate was responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the laboratory, maintaining accreditation, developing new forensic services, and managing personnel. Nate successfully established two ISO 17025 accredited laboratories within a tight timeline and budget and implemented a 6-Sigma approach to operations.

Nate then transitioned to Authentix in 2016, where they started as a Senior Solutions Engineer. Nate utilized their expertise in complex analytical subsystems to develop and integrate oil and gas solutions into existing programs. Nate also provided product customization and integration support, developed training materials, and oversaw testing and data management platforms.

In 2018, Nate was promoted to Principal Solutions Engineer at Authentix, and in 2019, they became the Manager of Oil and Gas Solutions Engineering.

Nate Stevens obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemistry, Surface Chemistry, Materials Science, and Mineral Processing from the University of South Australia. Nate pursued their Ph.D. from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree with Honors in Surface Chemistry from the same university in 2001. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Physical, Organic, Inorganic, Analytical, and Industrial Chemistry from the University of South Australia from 1998 to 2000.

In addition to their formal education, Nate Stevens also acquired certifications in various fields. These include "Blockchain: Beyond the Basics" from LinkedIn in May 2023, "The Complete SQL Bootcamp 2020: Go from Zero to Hero" from Udemy in May 2020, "DAT207x: Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI" from edX in September 2019, "Motor Fuel Technology Performance Testing and Specifications" from SAE International in August 2019, and "Project Management Methodology and Leadership" from S2insight in August 2019. Nate also completed the Six Sigma Green Belt certification, but details regarding the time of completion are unavailable.
