Maria Agapiou is a skilled biotechnologist with a strong background in research and manufacturing within the biotechnology sector. Maria conducted extensive research during a Master’s degree at the University of York, focusing on regulatory T cells in Type 1 Diabetes using the NOD mouse model and developed key laboratory skills such as flow cytometry and immunofluorescence. Following this, Maria worked at Lonza as a Senior Biotechnologist, leading teams in the downstream purification of monoclonal antibodies and recombinant proteins to cGMP standards.
