Gary Mitchell

Gary Mitchell has extensive work experience in automation engineering and project management. Gary started their career at Kvaerner as a Lead Control Systems Engineer, where they were responsible for DCS, PLC, and instrumentation activities for a copper smelter and refinery plant project in Thailand.

Gary then worked at Genentech as an Automation Consultant for their biotech manufacturing facility.

After that, they joined Idec Pharmaceuticals as an Automation Lead, overseeing the automation system for a large-scale manufacturing facility.

Gary later became an Automation Manager at Biogen Idec, where they were responsible for all automation and instrumentation activities for a new facility.

In Biogen Idec, they also served as an Associate Director, leading program and alliance management teams for various projects.

Gary then worked at DPR Construction as an Automation Guru before joining Emerson Process Management as a Senior Industry Consultant in the Life Sciences division.

Currently, they work at AES (Automated Engineering Services) as an Automation Project Manager and Principal Engineer, providing project and consulting services to clients in the life sciences industry.

Gary Mitchell obtained an HNC Degree (equivalent to a Bachelor's in Engineering) in Industrial Automation and Control Engineering from Teeside University in England in 1984. No further information is provided regarding their education history.
