Jake Morrison

Jake Morrison is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Engineering Team Lead for Gravatar at Automattic since February 2017. In this role, Jake manages a team of software engineers, focusing on the enhancement of Gravatar through innovative features and developer integrations, along with overseeing technical scoping and ensuring high-quality code delivery. Prior to Automattic, Jake worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Puget Sound ESD from July 2010 to September 2016, where responsibilities included developing and supporting web applications for school districts in the Puget Sound region. Jake began professional experience as a Research Assistant at the Chicago Jobs Council from August 2008 to June 2010, contributing to workforce development research and web application development. Jake holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Computer Science from Western Washington University, completed between 2004 and 2008.
