Guru Sohal

Guru Sohal has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Guru is currently the Director of IT Operations at Auvenir since June 2019. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Engineering at Auvenir from March 2017 to June 2019. Before joining Auvenir, they worked at TD as a Senior Manager from January 2016 to July 2017.

In 2014, Guru Sohal was the Director of Product Engineering at Advertiseit, where they introduced Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) quality and process methods. Guru also directed the development and implementation of Data Centers and managed infrastructure across different environments. From 2011 to 2014, they served as the QA Project Manager at Mundomedia, where they implemented process improvements for software releases and managed infrastructure.

In 2011, they briefly worked as an IT Specialist Manager at WinMagic and as a Sr. QA Analyst at Spielo. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Technical Project Manager at Connect Network Solutions.

Guru Sohal's earlier work experience includes their role as a Tech Lead at Dell from 2007 to 2008, where they managed large-scale testing teams and performed various types of testing. Prior to that, they were a Senior Technical Lead at Vodafone from 2005 to 2007, where they led a team in migration testing and server migration projects. Guru began their career as a Senior Software Engineer at GWIBS 24-7 from 2004 to 2005.

Guru Sohal obtained their Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Commerce from Panjab University, where they studied from 1997 to 2000. Guru then pursued further education in Information Technology, completing their Post Graduate Diploma in IT at the London School of Commerce in London, United Kingdom from 2000 to 2001. From 2000 to 2002, Guru Sohal enrolled in Charles Sturt University and earned a Master's degree in Information Technology. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including Disciplined Agile Delivery from TD in 2016, CCNA from Cisco, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA, MCSE from Microsoft, Microsoft Azure Administrator from Microsoft, Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, and Red Hat Certified Engineer (Part. Cert) from Red Hat.
