Skinner Cheng

CTO & Co-Founder at Ava

Skinner Cheng is the CTO and co-founder of Ava. Skinner was previously a software engineering intern at VIGO, where they developed the Android and iOS applications for internal use. Skinner also built the cloud web server with database for retrieving and storing data from the mobile applications for statistic analysis and improving the algorithm.

Before working at VIGO, Cheng was a research assistant at the University of San Francisco, where they restructured the gene interactions Python code base, created a uniform interface for SVM and ANN, designed experiments and optimized the detection method. Skinner also tested the SVM detection method with breast cancer data from 410 human subjects.

Skinner Cheng has a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of San Francisco and a Master's Degree in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Chiao Tung University. Skinner also has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Central University.
