From 2007 to 2009, Billy worked as the Solutions Manager (Manager of Customer Success) at Socialtext, where they managed pre-sales and post-sales programs and accounts for the enterprise social software provider. Prior to that, they were a Solutions Engineer at Akamai Technologies from 2006 to 2007, managing strategic and technical accounts.
Billy's work experience also includes a stint at Kasenna, a pre-IPO startup offering IPTV software solutions, where they served as a Sr. Sales Engineer (Pre & Post-Sales) from 2000 to 2006. Additionally, they worked at Lucent Technologies Bell Labs Innovations as a Member of Technical Staff - Team Lead/Software Test Engineer from 1995 to 2000. In this role, they led engineering projects, planning and executing tests for telecom customers.
Billy D. brings a wealth of experience in customer success, technical accounts management, and pre-sales/post-sales operations to their current role at Avaamo.
Billy D. has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire. Billy also has completed coursework in Russian, Italian, and Chinese at Stanford University. Additionally, they obtained a Professional Degree in Telecommunications and Network Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Billy D. has also pursued studies in Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) at the University: State of California/SJCC and obtained a certification in Solution Selling from Sales Performance International. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) certification from the State of California, a Reserve Police Officer (Level III POST) certification from the State of California, a Telecommunications & Network Engineering certification from UC Berkeley, a USA Hockey Level 4 Coach certification from USA Hockey, and a Vista Equity Executive Program certification from Vista Consulting Group.
