Lisa Mitchell

Lisa Mitchell has a strong background in Learning and Organisational Development, with significant experience across various sectors. Most recently, Lisa served as Director of L&D at Avalara from February 2019 to March 2024, where responsibilities included defining and implementing strategies aligned with the organization's strategic plan, while advising senior leaders in the Global Compliance Directorate on culture, performance management, and organizational change. Prior roles include Senior Manager L&D and Training & Development Manager at Avalara, as well as positions at Southern Water, Post Office Ltd, Pepenbury, and Smart Training, where Lisa focused on training needs assessment, competency frameworks, and innovative training interventions. Lisa holds a Master's degree in Historical Research and a Bachelor's degree in Classical Civilisations & Theology from the University of Roehampton.
