Patrick Hampton has over 20 years of experience in software engineering and management. Currently serving as the Manager of Software Engineering at Avalara since September 2016, Patrick transitioned to a management role while continuing to lead as a Developer and Architect for the MyLodgeTax team. Previously, Patrick held various positions at Catholic Health Initiatives from September 2013 to August 2016, including Principal Software Engineer and Scrum Master, where significant contributions included the development of a HIPAA compliant mobile messaging application for approximately 90,000 employees. Prior to that, experience was gained as a Software Architect and Senior Software Developer at Rivet Software, where Patrick played a key role in adopting Agile development practices, and as a Software Developer at Jones Cyber Solutions, focusing on telecommunications support systems. Patrick earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Colorado State University between 2000 and 2002.
