Rebecca Deck

Rebecca Deck is an accomplished professional in application security with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as Principal Application Security Engineer at Avalara since October 2019, Rebecca advises on application security strategy and testing methodologies. Previous positions include Senior Application Security Consultant at DirectDefense, where static and dynamic assessments of client software were conducted, and roles at Synovus Financial Corporation and Aflac, focusing on penetration testing and security assessments. Early career experience includes a role as a Computer Programmer at SAIC and service as an Infantry Officer in the US Army.
