Scott Peterson

Scott Peterson is an experienced professional in governmental affairs, currently serving as the Director of Governmental Affairs at Avalara since November 2012. Prior to this role, Scott was the Executive Director at the Streamlined Sales Tax Governing Board from November 2005 to November 2012. Additionally, Scott held the position of Sales Tax Director at the South Dakota Department of Revenue from April 1995 to February 2006. Scott holds a Master of Science in Public Administration from the University of South Dakota, obtained between 1980 and 1982, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from Black Hills State University, completed from 1976 to 1980.
