Cheryl Thomas

Cheryl Thomas began their work experience in 1995 as the Director of Human Resources at Abbott Diagnostics and Abbott Laboratories. Cheryl then moved on to become the VP of Global Human Resources at Teleflex Medical Group, where they established a new HR function for the division. In 2006, Cheryl became the EVP and Chief Administrative Officer at Johnson Financial Group, overseeing HR, communications, project management, risk management, and facilities. Cheryl later worked as the VP of Human Resources at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association before joining Wipfli LLP as the Director of Human Resources - Strategic Advisory Services. In 2016, Cheryl became the Managing Director at Impacting People LLC, providing consulting services for various industries. Currently, they are the Vice President of Human Resources at Avalign Technologies, responsible for developing and leading human capital strategies, building culture, and growing talent.

Cheryl Thomas pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with Lemont Township High School from 1974 to 1978, where they obtained their high school diploma. From 1978 to 1982, they attended Washington University in St. Louis, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Human Services. Moving forward, between 1981 and 1983, Cheryl Thomas attended Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School, where they completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Human Resources and Finance. Lastly, from 2012 to 2013, Cheryl Thomas pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Human and Organizational Development at Fielding Graduate University.
