Scott Adams has a diverse work experience. Scott began their career in 2010 as an Assistant Researcher at the University of South Florida. In 2012, they joined the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) as a Researcher II, overseeing multiple simultaneous projects and managing a laboratory. From 2015 to 2019, they were a Geoscience Master's Candidate at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Scott then moved to the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute as a Biological Scientist. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Avalon as an IT Security Analyst.

Scott Adams has a diverse educational background. Scott began their education in 2008 when they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Science from Eckerd College. Scott then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2017. Most recently, they completed an Associate of Science in Cyber/Computer Forensics and Counterterrorism from St. Petersburg College in 2021.
