In 2002, Avalon Technologies was founded on a simple premise, "IT professionals who have worked on both the data center and consulting side are better equipped to understand different IT environments and the optimal product configurations that work best in each." Brian Flynn, the company's president, has spent his entire career finding and nurturing passionate and purpose driven people that share his entrepreneurial style. Brian is a driven problem solver and creative thinker, two skills that allow him to excel at both appreciating real world challenges and crafting innovative solutions for them.

Avalon's IT services include: Data Management and Protection, Deduplication, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity, Virtualization and Virtual Desktops, Information Backup and Storage, Managed Services and Networking.

A key ingredient for this company is, instead of going a mile wide, Avalon’s engineers go a mile deep in their respective specialties, ensuring an expertly designed and deployed solution for every customer.

The diverse client base of Avalon includes the Detroit Tigers, Red Wings and the Cleveland Browns within the professional sports industry, the University of Michigan Flint, Hillsdale College, Ferris State University and Lawrence Technological University from the higher educational field and then finally, from various other industries, Akebono Brake, the Grand Rapids International Airport, Ineos, LLC, Leelanau County and Genesee County.
