Gary Smith

Gary Smith has extensive experience in educational roles within engineering and technology. From December 2016 to September 2018, Gary held multiple titles at Avaloq, including Instructor and Content Developer, Instructional Design Coordinator, and Technical Trainer for Avaloq Customisation. Prior to this, Gary served as a Lecturer at Anniesland College, focusing on Mechatronics from April 1998 to September 2006, and at Forth Valley College from September 2006 to May 2013, where responsibilities included delivering training in Measurement and Control Engineering. Gary’s industry experience as a Technical Trainer at Petrofac (SGC Metering) from May 2013 to September 2016 involved developing innovative training solutions for the oil and gas sector. Earlier teaching positions at Motherwell College spanned from May 1995 to April 1998, covering Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Gary holds a PG Teaching Qualification in Further Education from The University of Dundee and a BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
