As Senior Vice President, Innovation, Talent & Equal Opportunity, Ignacio is committed to building bridges and breaking down barriers to enhance Avangrid’s culture of collaboration, empowerment, and innovation, ensuring all employees have an equal opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Before assuming this newly formed role, Ignacio was Senior Vice President - Corporate Development with responsibility for delivering non-organic growth opportunities for the company beyond those of its present businesses. Ignacio also served as Corporate Vice President of Business Origination of Iberdrola, S.A. and, prior to that, as Gas Markets Development Director.

Ignacio holds a degree in law and business from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas and a master’s degree of public administration, with concentrations in industry analysis and strategic negotiation, from Harvard University.
