Patrick Scholtes

Patrick Scholtes has extensive work experience in corporate finance, financial reporting, and audit management. Patrick is currently serving as the Senior Director of Corporate Finance at Avania. Prior to this, they worked at Deloitte for six years, where they held the role of Senior Manager in Transaction Services. In this role, they specialized in preparing IFRS combined carve-out financial statements for complex carve-out transactions and M&A vendor-assist engagements. Some of their notable clients at Deloitte include Philips Lighting, AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals, Signify, and Staples Europe. Before joining Deloitte, Patrick worked at Maxeda DIY Group as an External Financial Reporting Manager and later as a Senior Financial Controller. Patrick also served as the Corporate Business Controller at Maxeda before that. Patrick started their career at Deloitte Accountants BV as an Audit Manager in the Corporate Market, where they focused on large, listed, and international retail companies. Patrick was also a member of the Deloitte recruitment team.

Patrick Scholtes attended RSG te Oud-Beijerland for an undisclosed period of time, where they did not receive a degree. Patrick then went on to study at Erasmus University Rotterdam from 1998 to 2006, earning a degree in Bedrijfskunde with a focus on accounting and control. After that, they pursued further education at Erasmus School of Accounting & Assurance from 2006 to 2011, obtaining a postdoctoral degree in Accountancy.
