Katie Gandomi has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Katie is currently the Co-Founder of Avantsoft since May 2021 and the Co-Founder of Jobbi Club since March 2022.

Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, they worked at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from August 2018 to May 2021. During their time there, they were a Scientific Researcher involved in the NeuroRobot project, where they developed firmware for controlling robots, simulated thermal propagation, and implemented a closed-loop controller using MRI image guidance. Katie also researched applications for reinforcement learning in tumor ablation trajectory generation and led the team in pre-clinical experiments using the NeuroRobot system. Additionally, they served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from August 2018 to May 2019 at the same institute.

Before their work at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, they held roles at Bigdelivery and Ultimate Software. At Bigdelivery, they were the Founding Project Manager from June 2018 to June 2020, responsible for managing projects from inception to delivery. Katie also worked as a Senior Frontend Web Developer from June 2016 to June 2018, focusing on front-end development tasks. At Ultimate Software, they served as a Data Scientist from May 2018 to May 2020, utilizing their skills in data analysis and modeling. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Test Engineer and Developer from May 2015 to August 2017.

Katie Gandomi has a strong educational background in robotics engineering and computer science. Katie obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Robotics Engineering and Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2017. Following that, they pursued a Master's Degree in Robotics Engineering with a focus on Computer Science, also at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, which they completed in 2018. Katie then went on to further their education by completing their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Robotics Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 2018 to 2021.

In addition to their educational degrees, Katie has acquired additional certifications to enhance their knowledge and expertise. In 2018, they obtained the "Protecting Human Research Participants" certification from the National Institutes of Health Office of Extramural Research. Furthermore, in 2019, they obtained the "MR: Safety" certification from GE Healthcare.

Katie has also pursued specialized training in the field of artificial intelligence. In 2019, they completed a Nanodegree in AI Product Management from Udacity. Additionally, they completed a Nanodegree in Deep Reinforcement Learning from Udacity in 2020.
