Gero Nieß

Gero Nieß is currently the Head of Medical Affairs Hematology in Germany at Avanzanite Bioscience, a position they have held since 2025. Previously, Gero worked as a freelancer in medical management for rare diseases and served in various roles at Gilead Sciences, including Associate Director for Medical Affairs in oncology and hepatology. They also held a position as a Medical Science Liaison Manager at Boehringer Ingelheim and began their academic journey at the Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research as a doctoral student. Gero earned a Diplom in Biology from the Universität zu Köln, graduating with excellent marks in 2009.
