John Gkontas

John Gkontas, FCCA, CIA, is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Energy and Industrial Unit at AVAX SA. With extensive experience in the construction industry, Gkontas has worked across various countries, including Greece, Dubai, Iraq, and Cyprus. Gkontas held previous positions as a Senior Auditor at PwC Greece and Financial Controller at ABC FACTORS, and served as CFO at TASK ΑΒΑΞ from 2008 to 2018. Gkontas is currently pursuing a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wales and possesses strong skills in business planning, treasury, risk management, financial reporting, and group consolidations.
