Bert Koetje

Bert Koetje is a seasoned Maintenance Engineer in Proces Automatisering at Avebe, with a focus on continuous improvement, project reviews, and budget management. Since joining Avebe in September 2019, Bert has been instrumental in DCS system migrations, upgrades, and field device management, while participating in World Class Operations Management initiatives. Prior to Avebe, Bert served as a Project Engineer at Cabot Norit Activated Carbon from January 2009 to September 2019, where responsibilities included system migrations, implementing data historians, and developing automated pH measurement systems. Bert's career began at Moekotte as an Installatiemonteur Instrumentatie and included numerous roles at Smurfit Kappa, where a wide range of engineering and leadership positions were held between 1986 and 2009, showcasing extensive expertise in reliability engineering and control systems.
