Parag Pathak

Parag Pathak began their career at MIT in 2008 as a Professor. In 2020, they became the Co-Founder of Avela Education, a company that advances equity in education by providing software and services to empower school districts to support parents, run enrollment lotteries, and make data-driven decisions. Their first product is a platform for facilitating talent placement.

Parag Pathak obtained their PhD in Business Economics from Harvard University in 2007, after having completed an A.B. in Applied Mathematics from the same university in 2002.
