Sonali Soi

Sonali Soi has extensive experience in education and research, currently serving in Client Development at Avela since March 2022. Prior roles include Executive Director of Enrollment and Charter Schools and Director of the Office of Charter Schools at Oakland Unified School District from October 2018 to March 2022. Sonali also held the Director position at Silicon Schools Fund from October 2017 to October 2018 and served in various capacities at the NYC Department of Education from December 2010 to August 2017, including Executive Director of Enrollment Research. Earlier in the career, Sonali worked as a Research Associate at the Center for the Advanced Study of India and as a Project Manager at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree from The Wharton School, where Sonali is a PhD Candidate (ABD) in Applied Economics, and a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy from Stanford University.
