Stephen Hall

Stephen Hall has extensive work experience in the media industry. Stephen is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at the Las Vegas Review-Journal since July 2018. Before that, they worked at GateHouse Media, now part of Gannett, where they held various finance positions including VP Finance, Division Controller for the Large Dailies Division, and Director of Finance for the Great Lakes Division. Prior to GateHouse Media, Stephen worked at The Repository as the Director of Finance and at Niagara Gazette and Lockport Union-Sun & Journal as the Publisher. Stephen also held the role of Group Business Manager at Greater Niagara Newspapers and served as the Regional Controller at Bristol Herald Courier and Media General. Stephen started their career as the Business Manager at Hickory Daily Record and later worked as the Accounting Manager at Winston-Salem Journal.

Stephen Hall pursued their education in the field of accounting. Stephen completed their Master of Science degree in Accounting at the Gies College of Business, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a B.S. degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh during the period of 1991 to 1993. Additionally, they earned an A.A.S. degree in Business Administration from North Country Community College in Malone, NY between 1989 and 1991. In terms of certifications, Stephen Hall obtained the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) in April 2020.
