Daniel Ventura

Daniel Ventura has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Daniel is currently working as a Product Engineer at Aven since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Data Scientist at Korrus from April 2021 to September 2021. Before joining Korrus, they were a Research Scientist at Ecosense, a Korrus Company, from October 2017 to September 2021. Daniel also briefly worked as a Data Scientist at Loot Crate in September and October 2017.

In addition to their industry experience, Daniel has academic experience as well. Daniel worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from February 2012 to April 2014. During their time there, they conducted data analysis and algorithm development related to the search for long-lived particles and black holes. Daniel also served as the convener of the long-lived particle group, organizing and convening meetings.

Prior to their postdoctoral role, Daniel was a Graduate Student at the University of Washington from September 2005 to February 2012. Daniel completed Ph.D. level coursework and research, and also taught undergraduate laboratory sections.

Daniel Ventura received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics from UC San Diego from 2002 to 2005. Daniel then went on to pursue their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics at the University of Washington from 2005 to 2012.
