Yin Wang's work experience includes various roles in different companies. Starting from 2021, they worked as an Engineer at Aven. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2021, Yin Wang served as the CTO and co-founder of Insnail Inc., leading a research and development team of 60 and launching the first generation of services. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as a Professor at Tongji University. Between 2017 and 2018, Yin Wang held the position of Vice President of Engineering at a Chinese online food ordering company, where they led teams and improved system availability. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at Facebook as a Research Scientist, focusing on infrastructure, FAIR, and Maps. During this time, they initiated a project utilizing deep learning technology to auto-trace roads and buildings. Yin Wang also worked as a Research Scientist at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories from 2008 to 2013. Prior to that, they served as a Ph.D. research assistant at the University of Micigan from 2003 to 2008. Additionally, they gained research intern experience at IBM Almaden Research Center and Hewlett-Packard Laboratories in 2007 and 2005, respectively. Before starting their professional career, Yin Wang worked as a software testing intern at Microsoft in 2002.
Yin Wang pursued their education in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Yin completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S) and Master of Science (M.S) degrees at Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 1996 to 2003. Subsequently, Wang joined the University of Michigan and obtained their Ph.D in EECS from 2003 to 2009.
