Alejandra Falla

Alejandra Falla has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology and scientific research. Alejandra currently holds the position of Associate Director at AvenCell since May 2022. Before that, they worked at Vor Biopharma as a Senior Scientist from July 2021 to May 2022 and as a Scientist II - Genome Engineering from May 2020 to July 2021. Prior to their role at Vor Biopharma, Alejandra was employed at KSQ Therapeutics, Inc. as a Senior Scientist from October 2018 to May 2020. Alejandra's earlier experiences include working as a Postdoctoral Associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology from December 2017 to October 2018, where they focused on developing innovative techniques for gene expression control and identifying potential antimalarial targets using genome editing technologies. Alejandra also worked as a Research Associate at Dartmouth College from August 2009 to August 2011 and at Universidad de los Andes from February 2006 to July 2009.

Alejandra Falla has a strong educational background in the field of microbiology. Alejandra began their academic journey at the Universidad de Los Andes, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Microbiology from 2002 to 2006. Alejandra then pursued a Master's degree in Parasitology from the same university between 2006 and 2008. Alejandra further advanced their studies by enrolling at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2011. There, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Microbiology, specializing in the field of Microbiology, General, which they successfully completed in 2017.
